Cognitive Rehabilitation

Individuals who may have experienced afflictions such as stroke, a genetic disorder, delayed child development, or a variety of neural or neuromuscular diseases require special rehabilitative services.

These services may include:

  • neuropsychological assessment and consultation
  • cognitive rehabilitation
  • and/or behavioral retraining and management

Often these services are coordinated with other supplemental services such as:

  • speech therapy
  • physical therapy
  • occupational therapy
  • special educational services

Whatever the issues or problems and whatever the source, PSI provides those needs and acts as a coordinator for other supplemental rehabilitative services.

At the center of these services, is the focus on cognitive rehabilitation. This involves a variety of different skill and ability areas, including language abilities, visual information processing, coordination of motor movements with visual-motor abilities attention to relevant information, problem solving skills, and social skills training in a number of situations.

This rehabilitation seeks to optimize the client's ability to perform at home, in the workplace, school, or in social situations. Our goal is to help each individual reach their full potential for success.
