Neurometric Brain Mapping |
|
|
Information regarding brain functioning is derived by statistical analyses of hundreds of measures and clinical interpretation of the pattern of deviant measures. We can visually review some of these measures in the form of "Brain Maps". These maps show the extent of deviation from normal in a color-coded fashion. The lighter shades of color in either the positive or negative direction indicates decreasing probability that such a findings would be found in a normal population. "Brain Maps" are not in and of themselves diagnostic. They are simply useful measure to further confirm the presence of and extend of brain dysfunction that may be correlated to a specific functional deficit or to a pattern of behaviors.
